For long haired dogs and for quick protection: Peppermint Dropper Bottle (three month supply) for quick easy application. Part hair and use dropper to place all along spine. Allow to soak in for a bit before allowing on furniture. Apply before going outside. Offers up to a week of protection against mosquitoes and a month for fleas, ticks, skin mites.

For short haired dogs: After bath oil rub, squeeze a good amount into palm and while dog is still damp (pat dry) rub in thoroughly all over dog paying special attention to under arms, stomach and legs. Kills as well as repels unlike most natural repellents that just use scent to repel. And for yeasty dogs, stops itch, although requires a low yeast diet change, not grain-free (brown rice or barley).

For major skin issues like mange, hot spots, yeast, etc. I highly recommend shampooing with Bully Baum medicated shampoo, wait 15 minutes before rinsing, follow with oil rub to stop itching immediately and use skin therapy spray in between baths to kill bacteria, yeast and soothe irritation.
