Bully Baum Inc

Bright & Clear Tear Stain Remover

Highlights

The BullyBaum Difference

  • We Never Use Starches: Most brands use cornstarch or arrowroot, which turn into a sticky "dough" that feeds yeast. We use a 100% mineral base that stays fluffy and breathable, even in our heavy Tennessee humidity.
  • Our "Dry-Bar" Barrier: We formulated this to repel moisture. Instead of soaking up tears and sitting heavy on the skin, our mineral blend creates a hydrophobic shield that keeps the fold dry and the bacteria out.
  • Breeder-Developed & Tested: We don't just sell this; we use it daily on our own world-class Frenchies. This formula was born out of necessity on our 35-acre farm to meet the holistic standards we demand for our puppies.
  • Pure Mineral Integrity: We believe in "do no harm." Our recipe is free from antibiotics, bleach, and peroxides. It’s just pure, triple-sifted minerals that are safe for daily use on the most sensitive skin.
  • Invisible Finish: We triple-mill our powder so it’s ultra-fine. It blends seamlessly into the coat—whether they are Fawn, Brindle, or Whites—leaving nothing behind but a bright, clean face.

Why I Built It This Way

"As a holistic breeder, I was tired of 'gummy' tear stains and harsh chemicals. I wanted a product that worked with the dog's natural skin health, not against it. By removing the starches and focusing on high-purity minerals, I created a powder that finally stays dry." *HDFrenchies

Ingredients

What’s Inside BullyBaum Tear Stain Remover

  • Boric Acid: A mild, pharmaceutical-grade mineral that creates an environment where yeast and bacteria cannot thrive. It is the key to stopping the red-staining before it starts.
  • Zinc Oxide: Our primary moisture barrier. It is naturally hydrophobic, meaning it pushes water away from the skin. It also provides a soothing, protective layer for irritated folds.
  • White Kaolin Clay: A gentle, natural earth mineral used to absorb excess oils and surface moisture without drying out the skin or hair follicle.
  • Magnesium Stearate: This is what gives our powder its "staying power." It improves adhesion so the minerals sit on the fur and skin throughout the day rather than just falling off.
  • Magnesium Carbonate: This provides the "fluff." It keeps the powder airy and high-volume, ensuring it never clumps or turns into a heavy paste.

Why we list our ingredients

  • No Hidden Antibiotics: Many "miracle" tear stain products have been caught using unlisted antibiotics. We show our full recipe so you know exactly what is touching your dog.
  • No Food-Grade Starches: We explicitly list our minerals to show we have excluded cornstarch, rice starch, and arrowroot—ingredients that often lead to "doughy" buildup.
  • Holistic Integrity: By explaining how each mineral works, we educate our customers on why a professional, mineral-based approach is safer and more effective for long-term grooming.

Directions for Use

1. Clean and Prep: Gently wipe the facial folds or tear-stained area with a damp cloth to remove any debris.

2. Dry Thoroughly: This is the most important step. Use a clean, dry towel to pat the skin and fur until it is completely dry. Our minerals work best when they don't have to compete with existing surface moisture.

3. Dust the Area: Using a small makeup brush, apply a generous amount of BullyBaum directly into the skin folds or onto the stained fur.

4. Work it In: Lightly brush the powder against the grain of the hair to ensure it reaches the skin. The goal is to create a fine, breathable shield. Apply liberally.

5. Daily Maintenance: For active staining, apply once or twice daily. Once the area stays dry and bright, reduce application to 2–3 times per week to maintain the barrier.

Note: Avoid direct contact with the eyes. If the powder gets into the eye, it is a mild mineral and can be flushed with eye wash, plain water or saline.

Pro-Tip for the Website:

"We recommend a dedicated grooming brush for application. This keeps the powder clean in the jar and allows you to work the minerals deep into the 'pocket' of the fold where moisture tends to hide."
